Facebook ads

We've run a really small test Facebook ad campaign for the Discovery Store. In a sign that they might have a few improvements to make, their billing page states: In general, you will be charged once per Facebook billable day. However, we reserve the right to charge you more or less frequently at our discretion. Having lots of small credit card charges is definitely not the way to endear yourself to your advertisers.

Josh,
Can you let me know how the test performs? I've been thinking about doing some facebook ad testing as well, but have yet to hear about any retailers having positive results.
Thanks!

Josh,

We just started advertising on Facebook and had THE most horrible experience.

Tje entire ad placement system defies logic. We couldn't tell where our ads would appear, how to match ads to to groups or even call up the ads on pages once they were OK'd.

Worst of all, the Facebook ad staff seemed equally confused. Simple questions went unanswered, and contradictions surfaced constantly between the instructions on the FAQ site and the answers from the staff.

Very discombobulating experience, particularly when one is accustomed to Google AdWords.

P.S. Thanks for the follow on Twitter.
